More frustrating with every "update"

My son has grown up with this app, he would watch his favorite shows on the iPad when it wasnt on tv, but now I cant even get the app to open, it sits on the "Disney Junior" screen far longer than any kid has patience for (or adult for that matter). Disney and company, you are a billion dollar industry, why make an app the worst part of A parents life, its unnecessary. We just want to watch shows on the iPad (we even have direct tv) log in, and still cant get the app to load, Ive updated, deleted the app and reinstalled and still get nothing, I mean whats the secret? It shouldnt be this hard.
